How to Apply for Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)

The following are the steps to apply for Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP):

  1. Eligibility check: Check if you are eligible for the PMEGP scheme by visiting the official website of the Ministry of MSME.

  2. Project identification: Identify a suitable project idea and calculate the project cost.

  3. Application form: Obtain the PMEGP application form from the nearest Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) office or download it from the official website of the Ministry of MSME.

  4. Submit the form: Fill in the application form and submit it along with the required documents to the nearest KVIC office or to the designated bank branch.

  5. Project appraisal: The project proposal will be appraised by the bank/KVIC and evaluated for eligibility for financial assistance under PMEGP.

  6. Loan sanction: If the project proposal is found eligible, the loan will be sanctioned and disbursed to the beneficiary.

  7. Utilization of loan: The loan amount can be utilized for setting up a new micro-enterprise or for expanding an existing one.
