What is the Pmegp scheme ?

 PMEGP is a scheme launched by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, for providing credit to the micro and small enterprises sector. The PMEGP scheme provides financial assistance for setting up micro-enterprises in both rural and urban areas. The objective of the scheme is to generate employment opportunities, enhance income, and promote entrepreneurship among the weaker sections of society. The PMEGP scheme provides financial assistance in the form of term loan and working capital loan to eligible beneficiaries for setting up new micro-enterprises and for expanding existing micro-enterprises.
